Born in Onalaska and raised in Winlock, Kateland’s family had many pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and rats—so she knew she wanted to help animals from a young age. She initially wanted to work at a zoo with exotic animals (and still dreams of having a zoo of her own) but very much enjoys getting to interact with our more domesticated pet patients every day.
Kateland’s family includes a son and daughter as well as to cats named Kimber and Toes. When she’s not working, she spends her time going on waterfall-finding adventures, shooting pool, going to her kid’s sporting events, and being the first one to find all the hidden snacks!
